Submission Guidelines

We only accept Jewish-themed films.
Films should be LA premiers.

To be considered for exhibition, submissions must have relevance to Jewish themes, issues, history, heritage, culture, perspectives of Israel, have Jewish character(s) or to the mission of LAJFF.

The purpose of the Los Angeles Jewish Film Festival (LAJFF) is to highlight the diversity of the Jewish experience through film. With a focus on Jewish identity, this festival will inform and inspire its audience. By featuring films that deal with Jewish issues, traditions, challenges and characters the Festival will deepen Jewish values and encourage new dialogue within the greater Los Angeles community. The Festival will showcase an international selection of contemporary features, documentaries, shorts and animated films.

Just because you are a Jewish filmmaker or actor, does not necessarily mean that your film is "Jewish."

We only accept films for the following categories:

Narrative films with Jewish themes or characters including identity, memoir, spirituality, culture, history, humor and more. We are seeking films that are appropriate for kids/families as well as content for mature audiences.
